Pitch Perfect 2’s Hailee Steinfeld releases debut single ‘Love Myself’
Hailee Steinfeld, who’s already made a name for herself in the acting world (an Academy Award nomination at 13 years old is nothing to sneeze at), is officially throwing her hat into the ring with “Love Myself“. And in a way, we were kind of right? She signed a contract with Republic Records in May, and is working on her debut studio album.
Steinfeld, who earned a Best Supporting Actress nod at the Oscars for her role in True Grit, has also starred in Pitch ideal 2, Ender’s Game, Barely Legal and others.
“It’s been a insane last six months”, Steinfeld said in an interview with Elvis Duran on Z100’s Morning Show on Friday.
“Honestly, music has always been such a huge part of my life and always a part of my plan”, Steinfeld told Duran.
And y’all are feeling the Pitch flawless 2 star’s tune. It all happened very organically, and it’s been fantastic! “I’ve made time and I’ve fallen in love with the whole process”.
Lyrics like “I’m gonna put my body first/And love me so hard ’til it hurts” powerfully connect with the danceable beat and “I love me” chants in the chorus, making anyone singing along feel as good as Steinfeld clearly does.
