Pixel 2 might come without a headphone jack
The all-important camera on that model was 12.3mp, so we can expect that grade of camera in the new Pixel 2 as an absolute minimum, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Google bumped it up. It was rumored that Samsung reportedly will jump the bandwagon with Galaxy S8, but they haven’t done so.
Recollecting previous rumours from 9to5Google, the Pixel 2 is reported to come with an even better camera than the original, with Google “aiming to master low light photography with the next-generation device”.
Google’s in-house smartphones, the Pixel and the Pixel XL, are surprisingly good smartphones.
Presumably that will mean that Google will up the price of its Pixel devices as well according to Forbes. He did not, however, talk about the 3.5mm audio jack back then.
The Pixel 2 will not have a dedicated 3.5mm audio jack, a leaked Google document suggests. The company has no plans to launch a more moderately priced phone, preferring, it seems, to leave that space for third-party players. While it has been just about four months since they launched, rumors about the next update have started popping up.
The Pixel and XL come with everything expected of a flagship smartphone in today’s times – 4GB of RAM, a 5.0’/5.5′ AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 4 on top, 32/128GB of internal storage and the Snapdragon 821 processor.
More gestures for the fingerprint sensor: Apart from unlocking the phone, the fingerprint sensor on the current Pixel device lets you swipe on it, to pull down the notifications bar.
Some of the features of this new Google Pixel 2 is that we already know is that it will hit stores next fall boasting of Android 8, known as Android Oreo at the moment.
Osterloh also said that the Pixel 2 will continue to be the premium Android phone.
