Planned Parenthood clinic in Columbia ends abortions
Planned Parenthood’s funding was jeopardized in several states led by Republican governors after an anti-abortion group released videos that allegedly showed the group selling fetal tissue from abortions.
Planned Parenthood’s Texas affiliates on Monday filed a federal lawsuit to keep state health officials from booting them from the state’s Medicaid program.
It’s perhaps no surprise, then, that attempting to cut off Planned Parenthood’s Medicaid funding is a popular tactic in conservative states.
Planned Parenthood maintains that the videos were manipulated in editing, and that it has never profited from its limited provision of fetal tissue for medical research.
The Attorney General’s Office’s November 12 memorandumcomes after mostly Republican legislators requested he look into whether Planned Parenthood’s affiliates perform late-term abortions.

About 13,500 patients will be affected if Texas’ plan of cutting funds, which may occur as early as Dec.8, 2015, prevail.

I personally reviewed the Planned Parenthood alternatives in OH as identified by getyourcare.org, and, contrary to Whalen’s claim, did not find any prisons or correctional institutions listed.
The money will be used to regain the losses Planned Parenthood has suffered to its reputation and from political and legal life-affirming decisions made in the past year.
McQuade noted that a Texas law requiring clinical privileges for doctors and licensing as an ambulatory surgical center for abortion clinics is before the U.S. Supreme Court.
McQuade also reiterated the various other services Planned Parenthood provides, including contraceptive counseling and reproductive services.
