Planned Parenthood to Endorse Hillary Clinton For President
At a Capitol Hill press conference Thursday, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) accused the GOP of obsessing about taking away “life-saving preventative care” from millions of women with their vote Wednesday to defund Planned Parenthood, the nation’s largest abortion provider.
Planned Parenthood, the national women’s health group, has plans to officially endorse Hillary Clinton in New Hampshire on Sunday.
“If this feels like a full-on assault on women’s health, that’s because it is”, Clinton said in a video supporting the organization.

Katie Holmes endorses Hillary Clinton. Which would not be much of a surprise – except that the group has never before endorsed a presidential candidate in its century of existence.
Planned Parenthood Action Fund is a force in campaign politics. “Planned Parenthood should absolutely be defunded”, he said in an October interview with Fox News. The New York Times reports that half of male voters and 60 percent of female voters believe that Planned Parenthood should receive government funds for the healthcare services that it provides to men and women all across the country.
Planned Parenthood and its patients and advocates “are a crucial line of defense against the risky agenda being advanced by every Republican candidate for president”, Clinton said.
Last year Clinton vigorously defended Planned Parenthood when it found itself accused by anti-abortion activists of selling fetal tissue to researchers. She often uses the hashtag #StandwithPP on her Instagram account and in Facebook and Twitter messages.
This week the Republican-controlled Congress passed legislation that would place a moratorium on all federal funding for the organization, a move that Planned Parenthood’s supporters said would serve to restrict women’s access to health care, including cancer screenings and family planning.
All of this support will likely help Clinton more as she heads toward the first nominating contests next month.
