Platinum Games developing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game
Based on the limited information contained in the entry the game is called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan and the publisher is noted as Activision. Although the listing was only published today, a game of the same name was listed by the Brazilians rating system last month and cited a PC releases as well as both PS and Xbox consoles.
PlatinumGames recently put out the Transformers: Devastation video game.
Platinum’s involvement seems like the ideal choice, considering the studio’s recent track record with licensed properties.
Let’s hope Platinum goes the Transformers: Devastation route and opts for the 80s cartoon aesthetic rather than the live-action CGI look. Indeed, it could more closely resemble the comics or even the ’90s cartoon series. TMNT: Mutants In Manhattan could be revealed later this week at The Game Awards 2015 on December 3rd. The supposed game is to be developed by Platinum Games, famous for developing Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. And with all of the different forms TMNT has taken over the years, you have to wonder what the art direction be here. I’m sure we’ll know more soon on the matter.
