Platinum’s Ninja Turtles Game Finally Getting Official Reveal Tomorrow
The game developer and publisher Activision were planning an official reveal of the game tomorrow – after numerous leaks – but it appears even the “official leak”… leaked early.
The leaked Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game Mutants in Manhattan has suffered another leak.
Poking fun at the game on Twitter, which has seen a series of leaks prior to its coming announcement, Platinum Games posted the above image on Twitter teasing the “official leak” for January 26.
For those who missed out on the turtle-based drama, the existence of a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game was revealed a few months ago when an Australian ratings board listed the title as in-development. Officially, we know nothing about it. Unofficially?
Because the Universe apparently likes to run a joke down the longest possible course, the “official” leak for Mutants in Manhattan has ended up becoming another actual one. You can see the trailer below.
Of course, that’s just speculation, but the game sounds like it will be a 3D brawler in the vein of Platinum’s recent Transformers effort, so it would make sense. This is all good news as it confirms that the game has an old school feel to it, looking to the comics for inspiration. The video acknowledges that Platinum Games (Bayonetta, Transformers: Devastation) is developing the game, and that the game is slated for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC this summer.
