Playboy Mansion up for sale for US$200 million
THE Playboy Mansion could be yours for $200 million – there’s just one catch.
The 6 acre Holmby Hills estate, built in 1927, will be listed sometime within the next month. Well you are in luck because the house may be going on the market within the next month.
Washington, D.C., January 10: If you fancy for a scandalous Hollywood history with a backdrop of some wild parties then it is the time as the “Playboy mansion” is for sale.
The 22-room mansion includes a wine cellar, game room, zoo/aviary, waterfall, swimming pool, and outdoor kitchen.
Real estate sources with knowledge of the area say the owners are dreaming when it comes to price.
Real estate sources have told TMZ.com that the mansion will probably sell for around $80 – $90 million, but the building will most likely be torn down as the value is in the six acres of land the mansion stands on.
However, the future owner has to provide Playboy founder Hefner, 89, with a life estate that will allow him to live in his infamous mansion until he dies.
A rep from Playboy Enterprises has not yet returned the Daily News’ request for comment.
The website also reported that prospective buyers will be able to tour the property except for one part of the house that will be off-limits: the pajama-clad Hef’s palatial bedroom.
