PlayStation 4 Slim on the way? Leaked photos surface
Rumours of a new, slimmer model of PlayStation 4 have emerged, following the posting of images on United Kingdom auction site Gumtree. And it also makes sense that the company would be working on a thinner version of the PlayStation 4 right now, to coincide with rival Microsoft’s own release of its slimmer flagship console. The console is expected to feature similar hardware to the PlayStation 4, but in a smaller form-factor with rounded corners matte finish. If the aforementioned listing proves to be true, the slim might also be unveiled.
It seems this image is floating around in some circles which shows a new PS4 design, possibly Neo or the new slim model which is scheduled to be announced on September 7 at the PlayStation Meeting.
Earlier today, several images from the upcoming PlayStation 4 slim where leaked through NeoGaf. One thing that is missing on this new model, is an optical audio port.
Sony has previously released Slim models of all its PlayStation consoles – and in the case of the PS3, an additional Super Slim model.
IGN has reached out to the seller for additional details and will update this story in the event we receive a response.
