PlayStation LEGO Marvel’s Avengers Game Receiving Exclusive DLC With 9 New
With more than 100 playable characters available, this is like a living (somewhat blocky) encyclopedia to the Marvel Universe. On day one, TT Games is already prepping two new downloadable content packs to add even more MCU action into the fold. While LEGO Dimensions may have had a bit of a moment over the festive season, judging by the rather depleted shelves at our local Tesco, Traveller’s Tales have another, more traditional and less figure-buying-orientated title up their sleeves for January, in the form of LEGO Marvel’s Avengers.
Second free DLC for this game is the Ant-Man Character & Level Pack, it will be available later this spring and will bring a new level based on a section of the Marvel film. The characters included in the Ant-Man pack are Ant-Man (obviously), Yellowjacket, Hope Van Dyne, Hank Pym, Cassie Lang, Scott Lang, Darren Cross, Luis, Hank Pym’s version of Ant-Man, The Wasp and the flying ant Ant-Thony.
“LEGO Marvel’s Avengers” is coming to consoles this month, but which iconic moments from the film will you be able to recreate?
Lego Marvel’s Avengers will also feature content from the previous Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and Avengers films, along with a host of characters and locations pulled straight from the comics. Characters will have their powers, but the important thing to take away here is that Ant-thony will be usable elsewhere in the game, meaning you could potentially zip around Asgard on the wings of an ant. It’s the only way to fly.
As previously mentioned both DLC packs will be available for free to games on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
Since Civil War isn’t out for a while, all players are getting there is a character pack featuring Captain America, Iron Man (Mark 46 armour), Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Falcon, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Crossbones and Agent 13 (Sharon Carter). Speaking of tag-teams…it’s also possible to finally put Captain America and the Winter Soldier together. It basically meant that people had to rush and download the content before it was gone for good. I guess it’s best to enjoy it while it lasts.
