PlayStation Network is down

The PlayStation Network is now experiencing problems and is down for those trying to use it on the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 3 or the PlayStation Vita, with Sony now offering no details on what is causing the problem or when it might be solved to restore full functionality to all customers.

A look at the online service’s status page shows ongoing issues for all of the key access points: account management, gaming and social and assorted PlayStation services (Now, Vue, Video, Store and Music).

PSN suffered some problems over the Christmas period, including issues playing online on Christmas Day. The company also noted that its “engineers are working to resolve the issue as soon as possible” and thanked everyone for their patience.

As soon as PlayStation gamer tries to log in, they are greeted with an error message that PSN is undergoing maintenance. Several users took to Twitter to complain about the PSN being down.
