PlayStation Plus Features – Vote To Play Improvements
PlayStation Plus subscribers will soon be able to vote on titles for the network’s monthly free games feature.
The new voting mechanic has been added courtesy of Sony’s new Vote to Play initiative. Sony has only officially announced the Vote-To-Play program but have failed to provide any further details on how the program will function and when it will be available for the general public. According to Sony, those games that will also receive lots of votes will be discounted whenever they may be released.
Since not all titles that PlayStation Plus members can vote on can win the polls, Sony will instead offer a consolation prize for those games that end up near the top but ultimately finish out of first place. However, PlayStation Lifestyle reports that Vote To Play for PS Plus will not be a monthly feature.
Reportedly, after a set amount of time, the victor of the vote would appear on the PS Store for free, while the other 2 titles would be avaliable at a discounted price. So, what are you waiting for, get voting now. An image taken from the video by NeoGAF user El_Cinefilo shows Zombie Vikings, Armello, and Grow Home up for vote. Now, as awesome as the list may sound, these games were being voted for UK based consoles, which means the list may differ in the US once Sony decides to roll out this new feature. This won’t happen every month, but at “regular intervals” throughout the year.
The most voted game is said to join the free games lineup for PlayStation Plus, automatically.
