PlayStation Plus price increases on the way
In a statement, Sony said that the price will be “in line with market conditions”.
In a statement, Sony says the price increases are “in line with market conditions” – by which it means it has matched the price of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold subscriptions. For PlayStation owners, it also gets them access to the PS4’s Share Play feature, the ability to store game saves in the cloud, and over 60 free games per year for the PS4, PS3, and PS Vita.
How much the prices will increase is yet not fully disclosed, however the price was raised by 51% in South Africa in late 2014. Do you subscribe on a yearly basis, or do you opt for either the single or three-month option? The one-month option is rising from £5.49 to £5.99, and the three-month plan is going from £11.99 to £14.99.
The price of PlayStation Plus for gamers in both the UK and Europe will be getting an increase, Sony has announced. The annual rate will remain at £39.99.
In fact, PlayStation 4 just revealed recently that it’s rolling out a new Vote to Play feature for PlayStation 4 PS Plus users.
There is now no word on whether North America, or any other regions, will see a similar change.
Subscribers of PlayStation Plus have been airing their gripes against the lack of Triple-A game titles in the Instant Game Collection that Sony has been releasing month in and month out.
