PM inaugurates Centenary Celebrations of Gaudiya Mission and Math
Modi also launched the Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee National Rurban Mission at Kurrubhath village in Rajnandgaon district.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said, there is a conspiracy to defame and destablise his government as he sought accountability from NGOs and sealed all avenues of black-marketing.
“Two crore of them are in the cities and three crore of them are in the villages”.
Four clusters of adjacent villages in Rajnandgaon, Dhamtari, Bastar and Kabirdham districts of the state will be developed in the first stage of the Rurban mission. “The Rurban mission will reduce pressure on the cities and would provide a new avenue to the village people”.
The new crop insurance policy has been hailed by all State Governments and has no critics and is panacea for all the problems of farmers, he added.
Mr Modi visited an exhibition at the venue, which showcased the implementation of development schemes and handicrafts. “Some people are continuously at it. They are not able to digest how Modi became the Prime Minister, how a “chai wala” became the Prime Minister, they can not swallow it”, Modi said, according to PTI. “In Chhattisgarh will lay foundation stone for houses to be built under PM Awas Yojana”, Prime Minister Modi tweeted. This scheme was more than merely the construction of infrastructure.
While launching the ambitious scheme in this remote tribal area of Chhattisgarh, Modi said a “huge country” like India can not have proper economic development unless even the remotest places are developed as growth centres and provided with urban facilities and “good life” like education, healthcare and internet while retaining the “rural spirit”. It was a step towards fulfilment of the vision of Housing for All by 2022, he said.
Earlier, Modi unveiled a statue of Sathya Sai Baba, unveiled a plaque for the inauguration of Sri Sathya Sai Sowbhagyam – Centre for Human Development, and dedicated to the service of humanity, the Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Centre for Child Health Care.
