PM Modi to meet Nawaz Sharif on July 10 in Ufa
Regarding Malala’s bravery and steadfastness as admirable, he said this had made her a role model for millions at such a tender age. “The sacrifices of those who suffered at the hands of terrorists will not go in vain”.
He said the terrorists are now on the run, their sanctuaries and hideouts have been wiped out.
Further, Malala is the youngest ever girl who has been crowned with Nobel Peace Prize previous year.
According to a statement released by the PM House, the premier said that his government will increase education spending to four per cent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP), adding that the reconstruction of about 1,000 schools that were destroyed during the 2005 natural disaster was underway, reported the Dawn.
She said China Pakistan Economic Corridor will go a long way in bringing prosperity to people living in all parts of Pakistan.
The Prime Minister’s visit will help in strengthening the existing ties between Pakistan and Norway.
During his visit, the PM will participate in the Oslo Summit on Education for Development and interact with several world leaders. Sharif also lauded her efforts to promote education.
She said that she has a dream of serving Pakistan and do something for the underprivileged children of the country.
The meeting was also attended by the Advisor on Foreign Affairs Aziz, Special Assistant Tariq Fatemi and Minister of State for Education Baligur Rehman.
He was talking to Chief Executive Officer of Telenor Norway Jon Fredrik Baksaas in Oslo.
