PM Nawaz leaves for two-day visit of Kazakhstan
During the visit to Astana, the Prime Minister will hold meetings with President Nursultan Abishevich Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Karim Massimov.
PMNHIP includes treatment of seven major diseases including Cardiovascular, Diabetes, Emergency and Trauma (Life and limb saving including Implants and prosthesis and Road Traffic Accidents), Burns, End Stage renal disease, Organ Failure Management (Hepatic, Renal, Cardio-Pulmonary, except transplants), Chronic Infections complications (HCV and HBV Complications and HIV complications) and Oncological diseases.
According to sources, MQM’s delegation will meet PM Nawaz today noon at 3.
It was decided that the government will have to accept their resignations.
Head of Government noted the dynamic development of bilateral relations and called for further deepening the business partnership of Kazakhstan and Pakistan. The delegation voiced out MQM’s viewpoint vis-à-vis Karachi operation.
Replying to a query, he said that Pakistan viewed China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a means to achieve its objective of regional connectivity and growth opportunity for the entire region and which would create a win-win situation for all.
The delegation comprised Dr Farooq Sattar, Senator Muhammad Ali Saif, Kanwar Naveed Jameel, Muhammad Rehan Hashmi, Waseem Akhtar and Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani.
Addressing the cabinet meeting here, he said Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the Karachi operation were launched with the consensus of all political parties, and have been progressing successfully.
The parliamentary leader of MQM in the NA said that his party has never spoken about halting Karachi operation despite having serious reservations on it.
On his part, Maulana Fazl, who had been mediating between the MQM and the government, said that he convinced both sides to sit across the table and listen to each other. Earlier, the prime minister was given a detailed presentation on the status of the implementation of National Action Plan. In line with this vision, the issue of resignation of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers was also resolved amicably.
