PM says Turkey cannot be ‘brought to its knees’ by Russia
In a joint news conference with Azerbaijan President İlham Aliyev in the capital Baku, Davutoglu also said Turkey was willing to share details of its recent jet downing incident with Russian Federation.

Alexey Miller, chief executive officer of the Russian energy company, Gazprom, said that Turkey had not returned to Russia with a proposal about the project, adding that it was now waiting for an intergovernmental agreement between Ankara and Moscow.
“I am very glad that you have made your first visit after the parliamentary election to the fraternal country – Azerbaijan”, he said, congratulating PM Davutoglu on the victory in the parliamentary election in Turkey. “Naturally, the stronger Turkey is, the more Azerbaijan’s strength will grow”, noted the president.
The TANAP pipeline is meant to carry oil from Azerbaijan’s Caspian Sea fields to Turkey. Some six billion cubic meters of this gas will be delivered to Turkey and the rest will go to Europe. The preliminary cost of the pipeline has been estimated at $10-$11 billion.

Later, a dinner reception was hosted on behalf of President Aliyev in honor of Davutoglu.

The Azerbaijani-Turkish relations have always been strong due to a common culture and history and the mutual intelligibility of Turkish and Azerbaijani languages.
Considering the current trend in the increase of important projects initiated by the two countries, Azerbaijani-Turkish collaboration is expected to develop in the future.
