Pogba’s agent admits negotiations with Real Madrid are happening
Mino Raiola, Paul Pogba’s agent, confirms that Real Madrid have begun negotiations over Paul Pogba’s contract.
“There would be no problem for Paul to stay at Juve”, Raiola told Marca.
Speaking to Marca, his agent, Mino Raiola, admits one club in particular is leading the chase.
Pogba, already integral to the French national team, sees keen to work under legendary French midfielder Zidane and that may be the key to him choosing Madrid over any where else.
The Juventus star – who is contracted to the Italian club until the summer of 2019 – is in his homeland playing for France at Euro 2016.
Pogba made 48 appearances in all competitions for Juventus this past season, helping the club clinch a Serie A and Coppa Italia double.
Nevertheless, he’ll have to do so with the potential distraction of talk over his club future, as Real have evidently marked him as their primary marquee signing this summer.
“We are talking but nothing is decided”.
“A club won’t invest significant money for the will of the Coach or because he thinks that the player is important for their project”.
Previously Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has disclosed that his side would be interested in signing Paul Pogba if the Juventus midfielder became available.
“He could have been the most expensive signing ever a year ago, but that’s not Pogba’s objective, nor is it mine”, added the agent. So he’s always been a very important player for every single coach and he looks quite happy in Madrid.
Pogba, 23, is one of the most coveted young players in Europe, and has consistently impressed with his dominant performances in midfield for Juventus and the France national team.
Pogba has been heavily linked with a move to the Champions League winners with Manchester United and Chelsea also desperate to secure his signature.
