Police announce ‘persons of interest’ in robbery of Knicks player Derrick Williams
Williams’ roommate was also with them, sources said.
The NYPD is on the hunt for these two women – who were allegedly hanging at Derrick Williams’ NYC apartment before more than $600,000 in jewelry went missing earlier this month.
Police have released surveillance video of the suspects inside of Up & Down nightclub in the West Village before the incident. Police believe this isn’t the first robbery for the women and that they may have worked in other clubs, taking other men home and robbing them.
The women were at Williams’ apartment for about an hour and a half before leaving, police said.
The thieves took the jewelry from a Louis Vuitton case in a closet. Pictures from that surveillance can be seen in Annese’s story. Reportedly, on December 19, the two women entered Williams’ residence and left in approximately 90 minutes, and the former Arizona Wildcats star noticed the missing jewelry later that day.
He signed a two-year contract with the Knicks this past July which ESPN reported to be worth $10million at the time.
