Police arrest man who tried singing Bieber songs over school intercoms
A middle school in Dunbar, West Virginia, was placed on lockdown Tuesday after a man walked into the school and demanded that he sing Justin Bieber songs to students over the intercom. First he hit up a middle school (where kids love Bieber), and then, after being arrested, he dipped from the hospital he was at and hit up a day care.
Friends of Lewis said he should be in a mental facility, not jail.
Police arrived soon after and said it appeared the man had not taken his prescribed medication.
Despite the heads up, the suspect managed to get in the school by sneaking in behind a parent.
According to a criminal complaint obtained by WCHS TV, Lewis told employees he “wanted to speak to the children as Justin Bieber” and stated that “he could see them because he was Jesus”.
A man who found himself in trouble after attempting to sing Justin Bieber songs over a school’s intercom is in trouble again after trying to sing at a daycare, according to South Charleston Police.
The school was put on lockdown for 30-40 minutes as a precaution, as cops took Lewis to Thomas Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
Lewis was asked to leave multiple times, and was eventually arrested and charged with trespassing. Several of his friends, including Dereck Jones, have started a Facebook group called Standing With D’Laontie Lewis.
