Police find makings for meth inside Cedar Rapids restaurant

Following the remains of the meth laboratory were found in the Taco Bell authorities in Cedar Rapids have caught two males.

While Meador won’t put a timeline on how long it’ll take before the taco bell will reopen, she ensures until it’s safe for the public and Taco Bell workers… the doors will stay shut. The restaurant was closed at the time. The arriving officers found two men outside, including one Taco Bell employee.

The report says that one of the men told police he was an employee at the restaurant, and the other said he was not. Once inside, they found the remnants of a meth lab.

Police then called the restaurant’s manager to the scene and went with him inside to check it out, Buelow said.

“It’s always appreciated when people see activity that seems out of the ordinary so that police can investigate”, Buelow says.

The Taco Bell is located in a retail area of Cedar Rapids that features a home improvement store, a Walmart and Sam’s Club as well as convenience stores and franchise restaurants.
