Police identify woman found in Las Vegas hotel laundry chute
Kalli Medina-Brown, 26, was found dead Sunday morning at the D Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas police said.
“I just saw her like two weeks ago”, Medina Brown’s friend Alyssa Skinner said. In order to have closure on the situation and sleep a little better or something-we have to figure out who did this, we have to figure out what happened’.
Kalli Medina-Brown was at the D Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas over the weekend celebrating her 27th birthday with her husband and a small group of friends, when, for unknown reasons, fell from the 18th floor and landed in the chute on the 3rd floor, according to police.
Alyssa Skinner, another woman identifying herself as a long-time friend of Medina-Brown’s, told Fox 40 News that the last time she saw her she was happy and very much in love with her high school sweetheart-turned-husband.
“There has to be justice”, her childhood friend Sierra Roraback wrote on social media.
The 34-story hotel has 629 deluxe rooms, according to its website.
The case is being investigated as a suspicious death. That she wasn’t scared.
Other friends demanded answers over Medina-Brown’s death.
“Out of us, she was the responsible one”, Carly Worrell said. Check back for updates. The video then went dark. “We are co-operating with the authorities and can not comment on the ongoing investigation”, the hotel said in a statement.
Fratis told the station that he has not spoken with Brown but believed he was still in Las Vegas cooperating with the investigation.
