Police investigating after 6 bodies found in Chicago home
Six people were found dead in a home in Chicago Thursday in what police say is an apparent murder-suicide.
A man concerned he couldn’t contact his family had called authorities.
Escalante said that detectives in the neighborhood and crime lab personnel are working to identify the bodies but acknowledged it is “very probable that this is all the same family inside”.

“At this time we don’t believe that there is any threat to the surrounding community or any known threat right now to the immediate neighbourhood”, he said.
The other five victims included four men and one woman.
Escalante said that all the victims had suffered trauma, but did not offer any specific details about the manner of death.
Martinez says she doesn’t understand what happened at the home.
The dead were a couple, their daughter, her two children and her brother, a relative told the Chicago Tribune. She said she’s been racking her brains to remember when she last saw the family.
“Everything was closed up tight”, Williams, who has lived directly next door for three years, said.
“They keep their curtains open all the time”, she said.
Earlier, Rosa De La Torre’s 13-year-old son comforted her as she sat down and sobbed near the home, anxious a friend could be among the victims.
