Police investigating after Linden High School football player hits opponent
Although the Linden player was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct, he wasn’t ejected from the game and now Immaculata school officials are demanding he receive the maximum punishment.
Believe it or not, Pacman Jones was not involved in the dirtiest play of the weekend.
The incident happened Friday during a game between Linden High School and Immaculata High School.
“The Linden Public School District is aware of the incident”. Timko declined further comment.
The Linden Police Department is looking into whether it will bring charges against the Linden player. The team from John Jay High School in San Antonio was playing Marble Falls High School in Marble Falls, located about 90 miles north of San Antonio. His helmet was then ripped off by the Linden player who swings and strikes him across the head. “And I just wanted to say that the Athletic director and coach have been very cooperative, very apologetic”.
The Immaculata player was taken from Tiger Stadium to a Morristown Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for a contusion that required 10 stiches and released, Gambino said. These are good guys (officials). “And they’ve done a thorough investigation, and they’re holding the student-athlete to a standard, and I applaud them for how they’re handling it”. “If you see that, you have to think that he would have been led off the field”.
