Police investigating suspicious death after man killed by arrow in Kitchener
Waterloo Regional Police Chief Bryan Larkin said Wednesday officers are on a mission to find the person responsible.
Waterloo Regional Police Service General Detectives and Homicide Detectives are investigating an occurrence that is actually transpire in the world of Margaret Avenue and Union Street, in Kitchener at about six a.m. early today.
Police released a composite image on Wednesday evening of a man believed to have been in the area of Margaret Avenue on Monday.
Waterloo Regional Police say the man is not a suspect, but was in the area where Michael Gibbon was found.
Paramedics rushed Gibbon to hospital on Monday morning, where he died.
Police also established a command post in the area as officers canvassed for clues, and searched nearby parks and forest areas.
Leinweber echoed similar sentiments: “I hope they catch whoever it is because he is still out there and somebody has to know something”.
Trask said that neither he nor his mother knew Gibbon, and he may have been trying to get to their house for help because their outside light was on.
Larkin said the public needs to be patient in homicide investigations, particularly during the first 72 hours which are critical to obtaining information.
Officers have reportedly received significant information as a result and police said they are following up on each lead.
