Police monitoring Black Lives Matter protests in Nevada

I’m going to speak to you, I’m going to use my words, I’m going to articulate myself.

Anger over the shootings was believed to be the reason behind the killing of five white police officers during a protest in Dallas.

“Look, we can dissent without demonizing and I think we’ve demonized our police for too long and we have to stop that. Angry because that’s what it means to be a black person in America, a second tier citizen, an inferior human being”.

Yes, there are more white victims of police violence, Ramsey says, but proportionally, black people are 2.5 times more likely to fall victim to police violence.

Hopefully, this isn’t a turn in the Black Lives Matter movement that destroys the work before them, and incidentally, the work before all of us.

“He was pinned down and shot in cold blood”, co-organizer Michelle Horton said as she recounted stories of police brutality towards black people.

Well, Dallas Police Chief David Brown had an answer to Obama’s ill-timed curiosity – an answer directed specifically at the violent anti-cop Black Lives Matter movement.

The Black Lives Matter protest, organized by Portland Racial Justice Congress, started around 6 p.m. with a gathering at Lincoln Park.

We can make that choice today in our neighborhoods, churches, jobs, and personal relationships. “And of course we want to preserve our model here of peaceful coexistence”, said Coiteux.

Some did try to sit in the street and block traffic for a few minutes, but police were able to get them up fairly quickly. “However, that is going to be one of our last options if we can’t get what we need to get done”, the President of the Greater Atlanta Black Lives Matter, Sir Maejor.

“We have to be very careful to protect the rights of all minorities in Quebec so I support people who are demonstrating for having equality of rights and we are completely in solidarity with what happened”.

“I’m not trying to defend officers who do bad things. Every Sunday we would be harassed, it would be something every Sunday”, Keith said.

Not all police officers let racism cloud their judgment, but at this point in 2016, we have seen enough instances of black men being killed to show it is a national problem.
