Police name victims of Toronto club shooting
Three others were hospitalized after they were critically injured in the shooting, which occurred at a club billed as the “official OVO fest afterparty, hosted by Drake with music by Charlie B“, per Billboard. He said a man then approached and fired roughly seven shots.
Drake poked fun at his rival Meek Mill during his OVO Fest appearance, while Kanye West and Pharrell Williams joined him onstage during the headline set.
He said that there were “high-profile entertainment figures” present at the party, but it is unclear whether Drake himself was there at the time of the shooting.
Law enforcement also confirmed that there were three other people, two men and a woman, were injured and transported to local hospitals.
Toronto Deputy Police Chief Peter Sloly told the Toronto Star that there was “at least one completely innocent bystander in this”.
A man was hospitalised in a shooting at the same event past year.
“This was a brazen, large-scale, ongoing firearm incident where our officers and members of the public were directly in the line of fire”, Sloly said. One was inside the club, located on the Exhibition Place grounds, and the other was north of the Dufferin Gates.
“We also have three (victims) that have gone to different hospitals with various injuries”, Bergen said to reporters gathered at the scene.

Oh no. Two people are reportedly dead after a deadly attack at Drake’s OVO Fest after-party. “We don’t know if it happened inside Muzik nightclub yet or outside but it seems to be centred around that nightclub”.
Neither the Toronto rapper nor his OVO label have commented on the shootings in the wake of the incident.
Officials have not released the names of the victims, and it is not clear if officers have any suspects in custody, according to the Daily News.
