Police presence increased at Blue Springs High School after bomb threats
Students at a Milwaukee County high school will be back in class Tuesday after the school was evacuated because of a bomb threat.
Police confirm that there was a bomb threat called in to the high school around 2:30 PM.
Calls went out to parents telling them the students had been evacuated at 2:50 p.m.
After-school activities were cancelled Monday.
Pinckney says no bomb was found, but in an abundance of caution to send students home for the remainder of the day. “This is not a drill, ‘” Jackie Turner, a Wauwatosa East High School junior said.
Hinesburg Police Chief Frank Koss said at the scene that he was notified of the situation just before noon.
Connolly noted that the school system had a strong focus on the safety and was working with the administration, superintendent, and police, to investigate the issue.
