Police release last known images of missing Calgary girl
“Please allow her to come home to her family”.
The peace bond was issued on March 2, after unlawful confinement and intimidation charges were dropped against Marsman. According to court documents, Baillie feared that Marsman would cause her physical harm.
Police say they are speaking with a number of people of interest, including Marsman, and that the child’s father is cooperating with police. “We need Taliyah back”, Mardinger wrote.
Police said Wednesday afternoon they have received more than 100 tips in the case. Police responded to the home where the young girl lived with her mother, Sara Baillies, late Monday evening, after Baillies did not show up for work and family members were unable to reach her.
Sola Dada, who lives upstairs from the unit Baillie and her daughter had occupied since May, said she’s very anxious about the five-year-old.
Witnesses in the community of Panorama say that on Monday at approximately 11:30am they saw a girl who looked like Taliyah in the company of a stocky, black male, near where the mother’s vehicle was located by police, close to Panamount Boulevard N.W.
While she didn’t know the mother and daughter, she recognized Baillie from around the neighbourhood.
The couple struggled to put into words how much the little girl means to them, and tears came easy as the pair recounted their time spent together and her wife array of interests.
Taliyah is described as a mixed-race female with a slim build, brown curly hair and blue eyes.
