Poster and Story Details for Season 2 of Star Wars Rebels
We got an early look at season 1 of Star Wars Rebels on Blu-ray, and we were in awe at how crystal clear the picture was. But Anakin’s former padawan isn’t sharing the specifics of their quarry with Kanan; “You must trust him”, are the only instructions Ahsoka offers.
The complete season one is available now on Blu-ray, I should have a review of it later in the week.
Fans and critics both agree that Star Wars Rebels is a worthy addition to the Star Wars franchise. By the end of the first season, we’re only just beginning to see the formation of the Rebel Alliance, and there’s still years of pre-Episode IV history left to explore.
Would you still say it’s essential canon?
As we see in this sneak peek, Ahsoka’s suspicions are leading her on an investigation into the backstory on this Sith Lord known as Darth Vader. We then see Ahsoka leaving to hunt down the Sith Lord.
Ezra and his new rebel friends – Hera, Kanan, Sabine, Zeb and Chopper – embark on daring adventures in their fight against oppression across the galaxy, receiving help from the familiar heroes such as Lando Calrissian, Ahsoka Tano, and Jedi Master Yoda. Its sophomore effort will begin in earnest with the episode “The Lost Commanders“, in which Ezra, Kanan and the rest of the crew seek out Commander Rex and the other clone troopers who appeared in the animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars. The rebels will have to use the head of an old tactical droid to help them in their new mission.
They will also have to deal with new Inquisitors who will be sent by Darth Vader in “Star Wars Rebels” Season 2. Through unsafe rescue missions, thrilling space chases, and spectacular lightsaber duels – the bond of our rebel crew will be put to the test like never before.
A few months after the initial season premiere episode, “Siege of Lothal”, aired as a stand-alone event this summer, the second season of Star Wars Rebels will resume with weekly episodes on Wednesday, October 14th at 9:30pm ET/PT on Disney XD.
