Postgame injury updates vs. Oakland: Ware, Talib, Thompson
The Denver Broncos will hold LB DeMarcus Ware out of the lineup for the team’s Week 6 game against the Cleveland Browns, reports ESPN’s Ed Werder.
It is in the Broncos-Browns championship series where such staples of National Football League lore as The Drive and The Fumble occurred, with the Broncos coming out victorious in either situation.
The Cleveland Browns host the Denver Broncos in one of the NFL Games on Sunday, October 18 start time at 1:00 PM ET, FirstEnergy Stadium, Cleveland, Ohio. “We have a lot of guys who can make plays”. Defensively, the Broncos yield 192.8 yards in passing and 85.2 yards in rushing.
The Denver Broncos are down 7-3 early in the second half at the Coliseum in Oakland against the Raiders, and their afternoon is getting even worse as they will be missing one of their top players due to an injury suffered in the first half. He had led the Broncos with 4 ½ sacks through their first four games.
Following the game, Head Coach Gary Kubiak gave an update on DeMarcus Ware, Aqib Talib and Juwan Thompson. In the past three weeks, McCown has averaged 385 yards and two touchdowns a game.
In short, the Broncos are growing into the Kubiak offense and while there are growing pains, the defense absolves them spectacularly and there are no signs suggesting that it will falter down the stretch.
