“Hello”, one of her tracks in the new “25” album, became a huge success as it earned earn over a million downloads in just a week. The song was played 20.4 million times via on-demand subscription services, more than twice the record set two months ago by Canadian pop singer Justin Bieber for What Do You Mean? Sales for the single were completely through physical copies, including CD, cassette and vinyl. It also doubled the largest single sales week of all time, Flo Rida’s 2009 hit, “Right Round“, which had only around 600,000 sales in seven days.
To date, the music video has been viewed almost 224-million times on Youtube.
The record held by John’s single will likely never be broken.

The ballad was released October 23, and scored 1.1 million downloads in its first week, according to Billboard. Industry analysts are reportedly predicting the new album to shift more than a million copies in its first week after its release on November 20.
