Powerball jackpot climbs to estimated $675M
The ticket, worth $1,414,967, was purchased at Perry’s Liquor store located at 31885 Alvarado Blvd., ABC7 reported.
Wednesday’s numbers were 2, 11, 47, 62 and 63, and the Powerball was 17.
“This is more than 10 times what we see when the jackpot is at the lower levels”, Texas Lottery spokesperson Kelly Cripe said Tuesday when it stood at $450 million.
No players have won the Powerball’s largest prize since November 4, ABC7 reported.
That means the haul for a victor in Saturday’s drawing will be an estimated $675 million dollars. The current jackpot first climbed to $675 million Wednesday night and reached $700 million before noon on Thursday.
The next drawing is set for Saturday.
To win the jackpot, a ticket holder has to match all the numbers on the selected white and red balls.

The largest jackpot won prior to this was a Mega MIllions game with a $656 million prize won in 2012 by players in several states. Since its inception in 1971, the Pennsylvania Lottery has contributed more than $25.8 billion to programs that include property tax and rent rebates; free transit and reduced-fare shared rides; the low-priced prescription drug programs PACE and PACENET; long-term living services; and the 52 Area Agencies on Aging, including full- and part-time senior centers throughout the state.
