Powerball Jackpot Jumps Again to Record $1.5 Billion
The Powerball Jackpot reached over 1 billion dollars after Saturday’s drawing when no one had the winning ticket.
The victor will received an estimated $806 million after taxes. That alone would give you a handsome $284 million profit if you bought every ticket.
Powerball tickets sell for $2, or $3 with the Power Play add-on, which multiplies all winnings except the top two prizes. Tickets for the record jackpot Wednesday can be purchased until 9:50 p.m. Wednesday night.
There have been several winners in the last few drawings of $1 million and $2 million prizes, including in Maryland and Virginia.
