Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Drops Further On 2nd Friday At Box Office
It seems that there is no limit to craziness in Salman Khan’s fandom.
A die-hard fan of Bollywood actor Salman Khan has committed suicide as he wasn’t able to get tickets to watch Salman Khan’s latest movie “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo” (PRDP). On its 9th day, it has faced slight drop and recorded the amount of 6.70 crores*.
As per early estimates, the film collected only five crores on its 2nd Friday. In a head to head bout, PRDP has come off second best, literally.
PRDP had to sustain a setback from Multiplexes and Cineplexes in large cities during this week.
In its extended 8-days first week, PRDP finished with total Rs 173 cr at domestic box office which is a successor for Salman’s “kick” and Shah Rukh Khan’s “HNY” in the same window.
If Prem Ratan Dhan Payo plays like this over the weekend, it would wind up collecting in the range of Rs 18-20 cr which would be seriously disappointing for the film.
The movie, which released a day after Diwali on November 12, is a story of a royal family and how an outsider, Prem, played by Salman, tries to mend the broken bridges of the family.
Take a look at the opening week PRDP box office collections as compared to Salman Khan’s previous releases: 1.
The movie has recovered its big budget of 115 crores and is declared a clean hit by Box Office India.
Note: The 9th-day figures mentioned above are estimated. Actual numbers will out in a few time today and will be updated here.
