President Barack Obama Shares What He Likes To Listen To On Spotify
The #POTUSPlaylist for daytime includes 20 songs featuring songs from The Temptations, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley & The Wailers, Coldplay (seriously?), Stevie Wonder, Justin Timberlake, Nappy Roots, John Legend and Florence + The Machine.
President Obama may have his hands full with the responsibility of governing the most powerful nation on earth, but he still appreciates some hot summer jams. “When asked to pick a few of his favorite songs for the summer, the President got serious”.
On Friday morning, the White House joined Spotify to give the nation a peek into what President Obama is listening to while vacationing in Martha’s Vineyard.
Things such as documentation regarding the Benghazi attack, the IRS outrage, “Operation Fast and Furious”, secret dealings with Iran and a whole host of other scandals besieging the White House. This year “How Can You Mend a Broken Heart” replaces the classic “Let’s Stay Together“.
President Obama has often been accused of staging populism by Republicans, but the makeup of his playlists does not present to us a man who has an outwardly political agenda behind the release.
And of course President Obama worships at the church of Queen Bey.
Red-staters might bristle at the playlist’s absence of country music, although the freewheeling, piano-driven Boozophilia by Philly bar-rockers Low Cut Connie comes close.

Obama even had members of his staff comb the hard copy (???) of the playlists ahead of time, presumably to prevent an embarrassing mistake like this one.
