President-elect Trump holds slim lead in Michigan
A top aide to President-elect Donald Trump mocked Hillary Clinton supporters Thursday, November 24th for “not accepting the presidential election results”. The candidates would campaign very differently if that were the case, ignoring less populated traditional battleground states and focusing more on larger metropolitan areas – even in places that are now not “swing states”, like Texas, New York and California.
President-elect Donald Trump has finally been declared the victor of MI state by just 10,704 votes, becoming the first Republican to do so in almost 30 years.
The same thing happened in 2000, when then Democratic nominee Al Gore won the popular vote by almost 544,000 but lost to former president George W. Bush on electoral votes.

Donald Trump has been our president-elect for almost a week, and he still has not taken the time to acknowledge or address the inappropriate and unacceptable comments that he has made towards black people, Latino people and people of the LGBTQ community.
Despite Clinton’s lead in the popular vote, it was Trump who prevailed on Election Day by clinching 270 Electoral College votes.
Had Clinton been able to close that gap, she would be president instead of Mr. Trump, especially if she carried such key states as Florida, Ohio and Wisconsin.
States elect their leaders by direct vote.
Mr. Trump is unfit to serve.
And that should be a guiding light for the president-elect as he considers the nation and the popular vote.
While unlikely, the petition has brought to light the popular distrust of a Trump administration.
In South Carolina, one of 29 states where law or party rules require electors to cast their votes for the candidate who won the state’s balloting, faithless electors can be subject to criminal penalties.
Often, I feel like people of different race, gender and cultures are used for their skills or talents and not given much in return. So the framers created a safety valve on the people’s choice. While I didn’t vote for him, I take issue with the calls for the abolition of the Electoral College.
State GOP Chairman Matt Moore is one of two statewide Republican electors. The Constitution says nothing about “winner take all”. Indeed, it suggests that those states could join the compact and help abolish the Electoral College through passing ballot initiatives.
Pinchuk’s name arose during the campaign alongside accusations of “pay-to-play” politicking by Clinton when she served as secretary of state.
