President Obama wants Cavs’ J.R. Smith to put on a shirt
Like President Barack Obama, who recently called to congratulate the Cavs for besting the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals.
J.R. Smith is a living legend.
Can’t be just walking around without a shirt like that for like a whole week.
Cleveland Cavaliers’ J.R. Smith, right, greets fans before the start of a parade celebrating the basketball team’s NBA championship in downtown Cleveland, Wednesday, June 22, 2016.
“I just want to say congratulations, you did a great job”. The coach is 39 years old and replied that he did, but not often. On the call, the President praised the Cavaliers’ tireless work and relentless determination in what was an impressive victory for the team and their MVP, LeBron James. “I’ll tell you, Kyrie though, came alive”.
The company said they’re working with Smith’s team about the possibility and hopes to finalize plans to make the shirts.
It started at XS Club in Las Vegas on Sunday morning, and he was still without a shirt when he got off the plane in Cleveland the next morning.
Saying, “I know LeBron”, Obama told Lue that he had already emailed a message to James but wanted the coach to pass along to the rest of the players that he was “proud of them”. Obama said he’d given up playing two years ago. Now (Iman) Shumpert is taking off his shirt, Kyrie is taking off his shirt.
