Presidential Poll Results: Ted Cruz Passes Ben Carson in Latest Iowa Poll
Point taken but Dr. Ben Carson may still get points taken off for ignoring the part of the question that specifically said “in New Jersey”, since as potential presidential material you are supposed to pay very close attention to information like that. Today, the spotlight turns to Sen. Also, 81% percent said that Ted Cruz had the right experience to be president.
In Iowa, at least, a new potential front-runner is on the rise: Ted Cruz.
Tuesday’s poll represents encouraging progress for Cruz, a firebrand senator whose message and proposals overlap largely with those of Trump. The remaining candidates polled only single digits.
“You might not care if Donald Trump says Muslims should register with their government, because you’re not one”, says Moe, to an ominous soundtrack.
“The other candidates will need miraculous comebacks to crack the top tier with slightly more than two months before the voting begins”, he continued.
“Worth remembering, however, is that winning Iowa is no guarantee of success elsewhere”, Brown said in the statement. Rick Santorum found out in 2008 and 2012, respectively.
The latest poll showed that support for Florida Senator Marco Rubio, R-Fla., among likely caucus participants held steady at 13 percent. Only 15 percent of responders said terrorism and foreign policy would impact their choice, the poll found.
Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute said “one of the things Trump is tapping into with his supporters is an underlying sense that he’s speaking the truth, even if the facts aren’t correct”. Carson, Rubio and Fiorina are the choice of 6 percent each on the economy. Trump was 20 points off Carson at 59 percent.
“Cruz could well win in Iowa”. Carson and Paul are at 6 percent each. Bush’s favorability ratings have taken a big hit, with only 39 percent viewing him favorably compared to 53 percent holding unfavorable views.
This really has been a flawless little snow globe of the Ben Carson and Donald Trump campaigns, hasn’t it? Only Carson and Rubio are more likable among Republican voters, with Carson scoring a net favorability of 49 and Rubio scoring a 48.
