Presidential Polls: How Do Approval Ratings Look After The First
Donald Trump was challenged about one of his most explosive claims regarding immigrants from Mexico during the Fox News’ Republican presidential debate on Thursday.
Moderated by Fox News anchors Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier, the debate was the network’s most-watched program ever in both total viewers and the demo.
Trump interjected, “Only Rosie O’Donnell”, perhaps in the belief that made it alright.
You can see that segment in the video below.
He said in a blogpost: “I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the presidency”. It actually takes more time to say two words such as “fat pig” than one word, such as Ma’am or Miss or Ms. or Rosie.
“I will not make the pledge at this time”, the improbable frontrunner said, to loud boos and jeers from a rambunctious crowd. “They are killers. They are phenomenal”, Trump said on ABC’s “This Week”.
Presidential hopeful Donald Trump had already electrified this early political season with his filter-free and often politically-incorrect statements, so did his bravado carry over to the debate?
Trump and O’Donnell, who was a liberal commentator on The View, have a history of publicly feuding over social media and the airwaves.
Trump later attacked Luntz, calling him a “slob.” Following a question about past disparaging remarks about women, he said, “Honestly, Megyn, if you don’t like it, I’m sorry”.
Trump tweeted out criticism of the moderators as “not very good or professional” and retweeted a message from a supporter who called Kelly a “bimbo”. According to a VH1 article on the March 2013 episode in question, former Playboy Playmate Brande Roderick said she got down on her knees to beg to be a part of something. He is reported to have once called a lawyer “disgusting” when she asked to pause a meeting so she could pump her breast milk.
To be fair, Trump has less-than-flattering opinions on many men, including Mark Cuban, Dick Cheney, and Jon Stewart, among others.
