Prince Alwaleed just perfectly trolled Donald Trump
Unbowed, the Saudi prince has now brought up that time that he bought a hotel and yacht from Trump, thus “bailing him out”.
The Republican presidential hopeful was in the middle of his usual online blitzkrieg against his latest nemesis Megyn Kelly when he retweeted an incredibly fake photo featuring the Fox News host standing next to the Saudi magnate and a woman in traditional Islamic garb – purportedly the prince’s sister.
This Saudi prince is Alwaleed bin Talal, who according to Wikipedia, is 95 percent owner and CEO of Kingdom Holding Company and was one of Time’s 100 most influential people in the world in 2008.
The text on the photo claimed that Alwaleed was a “co-owner” of Fox News. In case you only watch Fox News and you missed it everywhere else. “Google it.” The recent Trump-Al-Waleed feud is borne out of Trump’s ongoing rift with Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and his decision to skip the Fox News debate on Thursday. In fact, Prince Al-Waleed himself disproved the accusations and tweeted that Trump’s statements are based on photo-shopped pictures.
Second, the Republican probably forgot that he has already been in a Twitter spat with the said prince once before and that he isn’t the kind of person to sit back and ignore Trump’s conspiracy theories. Donald Trump is taking his fight with Fox News to another level, for having ties with Saudi Arabia.
In December, the nephew of the late King Abdullah tweeted that Mr Trump should drop out of the Presidential race as he would “never win” and was “a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America”. As expected, Trump shot back: “Dopey Prince @Alwaleed_Talal wants to control our US politicians with daddy’s money”.
