“I knew there would always be a gaping hole that could never be filled”, he said according to Us Weekly.
The Sentebale charity accommodates 96 children and teens, many of whom are the victims of extreme poverty and Lesotho’s HIV/AIDS epidemic.
Prince Harry will continue his engagements in Cape Town on Monday when he’ll visit a rehabilitation centre for children who have committed gang related crimes followed by a visit to a football-based project.
The £2million facility has been described as a “milestone” by Harry and his Sentebale co-founder Lesotho’s Prince Seeiso.

“We hope to raise even more money this year enabling us to care for and support many more children in Lesotho and across other southern African countries in the near future”. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prince Harry said he shared the same feelings of loss as the children he met in Lesotho. King Letsie teased the British prince about his love life saying, to loud laughter from the crowd: “I long for the day when I can say ‘Prince Harry and…’ But we’ll all have to wait a few years for that”. The schoolboy said: “I felt very happy, very excited”.
The seven-day tour will also see the Prince travel to Kruger National Park, Durban and Johannesburg before returning to the UK.
“He said to me, I’ve grown up”.
