Prince Harry to play polo for Sentebale charity
Prince Harry was overcome with emotion as he opened up about the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana, during a moving speech on Thursday, Nov. 26.
Cape Town – Prince Harry had a rather distinguished crowd on the edge of their seats during the Sentebale Royal Salute Polo Cup on Saturday at Val de Vie Estate in Paarl – an annual charity event to raise funds for the charity he created in the late Princess Diana’s honour.
But it would appear the polo playing ponies had something else in mind… in fact it seems like the cute four-legged creatures were conspiring against the fifth-in-line to the throne.
Play was stopped as Prince Harry was left on his knees before he got up apparently unhurt and swapped mounts.
Prince Harry has named the buildings of a new children’s center in Lesotho after the two most important women in his life – his mother and his nanny. Sentebale works to protect and support these children providing them with basic necessities we take for granted: “food, shelter, care and access to education”.
His friend and polo rival Nacho Figueras also pretended to fall off, teasing his friend. Big significant people have come to Africa and are using their platform to make a difference.
The prince arrived at the exclusive Val de Vie Estate, where the event was hosted, looking relaxed and wearing white pants, a blue shirt and with his ginger beard looking noticeably less bushy then his last public appearance in the UK.
Prince Harry and fellow Lesotho Royal Prince Seeiso were honorary guests at the tournament.
