Prisoner escapes New York-Presbyterian Hospital
She was taken to New York Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital Sunday when she took off. Neuman, who had skipped out on a bar bill and stole a T-shirt on the Upper West Side before her arrest Saturday, is believed to have ditched her prison garb and is in regular street clothing.
She allegedly told police she was pregnant, but further investigation has revealed she is not.
She was arrested earlier in the day for petit larceny, theft of service and criminal possession of stolen property.
A prisoner has escaped police custody while at a hospital in Manhattan, according to police. Police used a K-9 dog to search the hospital area late Sunday.
“She was last seen wearing a hospital gown”, Newsday reported.
Neumann is approximately 5 feet 3 inches, weighs about 120 pounds, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
