‘Proud mother’ Jessa Duggar shares her first pic with baby boy
Jessa had passed her due date and was just giving into taco cravings, joking about how big her baby was going to be, and celebrating her own (23rd) birthday. The baby has been doing well.
Jessa Duggar and her husband Ben Seewald welcomed their first child on 5 November.
The Duggars are known to support a traditional and conservative lifestyle and are advocates of home birthing.
It was reported that Jessa Seewald originally planned on having a natural birth at a family member’s home, but had to be rushed to the hospital due to “complications”.
Until she delivered, Jessa had kept the gender of her first child a secret.
The Duggar family shared their happy news with fans on their official Facebook page.
Prior to giving birth, Jessa wrote in their family blog that she is sticking to plan A, but is open for a plan B.
The former “19 Kids and Counting” star posted a picture of her and Seewald happily holding their baby a background of what appears to be a white sheet and newborn wrapped in a mint green blanket, along with a caption “Our sweet baby boy was born last night”, E!
The news that Jessa finally gave birth, after being a week overdue, was shared first on social media by Ben’s sister, Jessica, who shared an Instagram snap of a Post-it that read, “I’m an auntie”, the Daily Mail reports. May you raise this little guy in the love and admonition of our Lord. Two of his victims included Jessa and Jill.
The couple will be documenting their married life together along with Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard on their TLC spin-off show, “Jill and Jessa: Still Counting”, next month. He later confessed to cheating on his wife, Anna.
The proud parents have yet to announce their baby boy’s name, though they dubbed him the nickname Quincy throughout Jessa’s pregnancy.
