PS4 System Software Update 3.0 Out September 30
In other Sony news, today saw the release of the PlayStation 4’s newest system software milestone, version 3.0.
First up, there’s a new option to share video clips straight to Twitter from your PS4 – the option is buried in the Upload Video Clip menu between Facebook and YouTube. You can even just watch your friend play the game.
In addition, with the launch of YouTube gaming; the Kenshin update will allow players to stream directly to YouTube as opposed to Twitch if they wish. And you can now grab the latter in PNG as well as JPEG, for higher quality. If you’re looking to chat with other PS4 owners about anime or a specific game, there will no doubt be a community for that.
Aside from YouTube, gamers will also be able to share short clips of their game through their Twitter accounts. It has a message board with general discussion, screenshots shared by players, and the ability to join parties. These can be anything from individual games, to series and entire genres. The idea behind the update, judging by its features, is to bring its gaming community closer together.
As noted by Lazy Gamer, through the Communities sections, players will be able to manage their contacts or friends.

Lastly, Sony has added Stickers to the Messaging app. When the 3.0 system software releases, there will be a number of stickers available themed around Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, LittleBigPlanet 3, Knack, and more. For instance, you can sort out your groups according to the titles you own; a different group for your Call of Duty Squad, your Destiny team, or your National Basketball Association mates.
PlayStation Plus: Users will now find a dedicated section for PlayStation Plus that can be accessed by clicking the big Plus icon on the top left corner of your PS4 home screen. This should allow users to make the best out of their memberships as redeeming discounts and PS Plus games, which were previously located in the store, and now are a lot easier.
