Q2 Weather: More rain, but add wind Saturday
Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy with chance of showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Highs near 90 Saturday afternoon with a maximum heat index near 96. Temperatures will reach around the low to mid 70s for highs Sunday, then tumble to the upper 50s and lower 60s for some areas Monday. Highs will only reach into the 70’s on Monday and stay in the mid-80’s after that.
David Reimer with Texas Storm Chasers added the cooler temperatures will hang round for the early part of the new work-week. Heavy rain will end overnight Saturday night, but additional showers and a thunderstorm will likely return on Sunday. “Most model solutions are calling for two-day totals in the range of 3-5 inches”. Showers and a few storms are still possible on Sunday but should wind down later in the day.
Finally, cooler fall weather with highs in the mid-70s. High temperatures will be similar to today. Southwest winds 10 to 15 miles per hour with gusts to around 30 miles per hour. Wind: S 10-20; gusty.
Saturday Night: Partly cloudy. Southeast winds 5 to 10 miles per hour.
The front is expected to pass over the area Monday morning. Highs in the upper 60s.
