QPR midfielder set for West Brom medical
Sky Sports report that West Brom have opened talks with Queens Park Rangers over signing Brazilian midfielder Sandro on loan until the end of the season, and negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs.
The switch will bolster the Baggies’ midfield after McManaman was sidelined with an ankle injury which is likely to keep him out until March.
Baggies boss Pulis is also keen to bring in further loan reinforcements with a left back and pacy winger at the top of his agenda.
“Whether we can do a deal or not we’ll have to wait and see”.
The club are trying to push the Sandro deal through so the Brazil global can play against Posh at The Hawthorns. The Welsh gaffer confirmed he had spoken to Redknapp – who signed the player during his times in charge of both Tottenham Hotspur and QPR – about the potential move.
“We’ve got a few injuries and knocks at the moment so we’re pleased to be able to strengthen the squad”.
“It’s a three game week but I have made my feelings about this competition very clear – I will be fielding a strong team to win the game”, he told reporters.
