QPR star Austin determined to land Premier League return
Austin scored in QPR’s2-2 draw with Cardiff on Saturday and admitted he wants to return to the Premier League.
The Hoops, who are looking for an instant return to the Premier League, did manage to have 16 shots at the opposition goal but only six of these were on target. However, even with news circling around the 26-year old daily, Charlie Austin looks no closer to a move than when the summer started.
The result means QPR are still searching for their first win of the season and Ramsey admits his side should have wrapped up the three points by bagging another couple goals.
Although Austin could soon leave the club, Hill is adamant that the striker deserves to be given credit for his contribution to QPR’s cause since his move from Burnley two years ago.
Although he has kept a keen eye on developments at Cardiff City Stadium from afar with games beamed to his business base in Malaysia, the trip marked Tan’s first visit to watch the club he took over in 2010 since a 1-0 home defeat to Wolves in February just weeks after the decision to restore the club’s traditional blue home colours. “I am focused on the job in hand and here to play”, he said. “Every player wants to play in the Premier League and I would be lying if I said I didn’t want to be there, but I’ve got to work hard while I’m at QPR and try my best”.
Queen’s Park Rangers now value the player at around £15 million making this transfer far from cheap.
Clint Hill and Charlie Austin had appeared to put the hosts in complete control with goals either side of the break, but Sean Morrison and Malone both found the net after the break to ensure a share of the spoils in front of the Sky cameras.
While my intuition says no, one has to wonder what might be going through the minds of Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
