Quake in Oklahoma shakes Kansas early Saturday
The natural disaster happened about 5:03 p.m. Its epicenter was reported about three miles west, northwest of Cushing, 14 miles east, southeast of Stillwater, 34 miles east, northeast of Guthrie and 53 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. Vibrations emanated from faulting in bedrock four miles beneath the surface. Along with Wichitans, residents in Anthony, Kiowa, Newton, Valley Center, Cheney, Goddard, McPherson, Oberlin, Salina, Abilene and Fredonia reported feeling the quake.
