Qualcomm scores a few Galaxy S7 designs
Meanwhile some recent reports show that Samsung could start updating its latest devices to Android 6.0 Marshmallow within the next few weeks.
This would basically mean that Samsung doesn’t intend to release both the Galaxy S7 Edge and Galaxy S7 Edge Plus next year, but release one handset and be done with it. That is possible, of course, but we can’t say how legit is this rumor, so take it with a grain of salt, as usual. Samsung Galaxy S6, S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are supposed to receive the Android Marshmallow in January 2016.
In any case, the Galaxy A9 will be a stuffed-to-the-gills midranger, it seems, and we can’t wait to see the final design, specs, and, above all, price tag, as Samsung’s A-series isn’t known for rock bottom pricing. And then there’s a Samsung Pay promo that’ll give a $50 rebate check to any T-Mobile Note 5, GS6, GS6 edge, or GS6 edge+ owner that signs up for Samsung Pay and registers at least 1 credit or debit card by December 31. As things stand, the black model is available, but the white model is out of stock. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 also features a finger print scanner which will be based inside the home button.
In addition to the flat Galaxy S7, the South Korean company plans to launch an Edge version that is said to boast a much larger 5.7-inch curved display. It houses the 64 bit octa core processor (Exynos) along with a RAM of 4 GB.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+’s camera capabilities consist of a 16 megapixel rear camera with OIS (optical image stabilization), autofocus, LED flash and 5 megapixel front-facing shooter for video chat and selfies.
The phone’s display is a super AMOLED loaded with 720 x 1280 pixels.
